If you have been affected by mis-treatment from Banks (RBS GRG, HBoS Reading and other so called business support units) Please send the notice from th APPG On Fair Business Banking below to your MP and ask them to support this motion by contacting Heather Buchanan by 12pm tomorrow!

The treatment of SMEs by RBS' GRG and how does the current system fail to
protect businesses?

That this House is appalled at the conduct that has recently been exposed
concerning the treatment of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) by the
Global Restructuring Group (GRG) unit of the Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS);
notes that there are wider allegations of malpractice in financial services
and related industries; believes that this indicates a systemic failure to
effectively protect businesses, which has resulted in financial scandals
costing tens of billions of pounds; believes that the solution requires the
collective and collaborative effort of regulators, parliament and
government; and calls for an independent inquiry into practices in respect
of the treatment of SMEs and the protections afforded them, and the rapid
establishment of a tribunal system to effectively deal with financial
disputes for businesses.

Not personally ripped off but desire to bring to as many peoples attention as possible that other banks are involved in this latest scandal.
My friend Nigel had boatyard in Lowestoft that he managed to obtain planning for 30 ish flats. Barclays revalued it low & put him in distress. Bankrupted him & sent him into mental hospital.

We were missold a IRHP by Lloyds in 2011 (we didn't know what it was at the time). We were then put into their Business Support Unit, and had very difficult and threatening meetings with Business Support Manager. We are now unable to get out of the loan, as the 'break fee' is in excess of £120k. This means that we cannot expand the business, or refinance with anyone else, and are effectively trapped. The Financial Ombudsman Service is useless, as they take a very narrow and process-driven approach. I will be emailing the APPG!

Ulster bank GRG foreclosed on my £11m property development , took £925,000 in personal guarantees then sold it through BNP for £6m , in a rising market. Are still giving me the run around failing to answer simple questions after 5 years . As bad now as they were then, the cover up is worse than the crime Mr McEwan

NatWest demanded a PG on an SME business overdraft at the height of financial crisis - changing terms and denying further funds.
As they knew I would object, they processed documents in my name without my signature and without informing me. Later they provided minutes of meetings that had never occurred and shareholders never saw. They agree that they targeted my home and put it at risk.
Faced with an impossible task in servicing the debt, my husband took an overdose.
I lost my husband, my home, pension, life's work and my family.
NatWest said you'll have to take us to court.
I think they believe they are the law.

HBos found guilty in criminal courts of same thing and sent to prison but TVP PCC says Lloyds covered up these crimes for10yrs and still a year after guilty verdicts Lloyds “ need more time “ to consider compensation claims prepped by QCS and forensic accountants most people are being picked off for less than 1% o their claims - banks seem to be totally unregulated completely above the law with impunity - no justice no peace for the victims and no restoration of finances and credit ratings either leaving victims trapped in their own individual prisons - systemic corruptiin and criminality plus coverup in our whole financial and regulatory system must be completely cleaned up and regulated with a proper parity of arms put in place for SMEs facing disputes with banksters ( banks) .

RBS. GRG and swaps misselling are all aspects of "Reverse Banking". The rules say that in order to lend £9, you need to hold £1 in cash. RBS realised that if you smash up borrowers on the flimsiest pretext, you would get more £1's, and could lend more £9's, hence their phenominal growth. However, such a model is clearly doomed in the long run, as was RBS, and the whole economy.

No-one trusts banks to lend any longer, hence supply and demand drive 1/4% intesrest rates, which Mark Carney is impotent to improve.

I wonder, what is RBS's real business model now?

HBOS Reading victim. My 3 children were thrown into the street by thugs posing as bailiff's. The bank have denied our SAR and broken the law yet again. Our home of 20 years stolen! Now after speaking to Thames valley police and having them confirm that even more fraud is taking place the bank are choosing to airbrush myself and children and state they have the blessing of Griggs to do this. This fraud needs to be exposed.
