We've been busy organising the SME Alliance Summer Networking Event and finding some of the country's best legal professionals, advisors and the like to introduce our members and other SME owners to, but we know a lot of you are doing a lot of the good work yourselves so we would like to offer you the opportunity to feature at the event too. There is a 20% discount for members who would like to feature at the event. Please contact office@smealliance.org for further details. Hope to see you there! A reminder of the workshops we are hosting at the 34th Cambridge International Symposium On Economic Crime on September 7th. If you would like to find out more about the Symposium and how to register please visit: http://crimesymposium.org/index.html Our friends at Finance Innovation Lab are hosting this conference and have asked us to share the invitation with our members. Tickets are £50 if anyone would like to attend. At least 3 members of SME Alliance are going so far - so let us know if you are attending so we can meet up.
http://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/transforming-finance-2016-follow-the-money/ Given the popularity of our Q&A sessions, we have changed the format for this meeting. It will be run in a similar way to Question Time and our speakers and expert advisers will be on two panels. In this way we hope to maximise the amount of answers to members questions.
We are happy to confirm that alongside our own advisers the following names have agreed to be on the panel to answer members questions: Stephen Harvey QC from Shensmiths: http://www.shensmithbarristers.co.uk/direct-access-barristers/stephen-harvey-qc/ Damon Parker from Harcus Sinclair : http://www.harcus-sinclair.co.uk/people/profile/damon-parker Mark Humphries from Humphries Kerstetter :http://www.humphrieskerstetter.com/directors.asp James Hayward from RGL management: http://www.suerbs.com/ Look forward to seeing members there and please reserve your place asap. Either reserve on Eventbrite or e-mail smealliance2014@gmail.com and please also send us your question. https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/sme-alliance-meeting-tickets-24810696461 NB This meeting is open to members and guests. This meeting is primarily for members to understand how direct access barristers can assist their cases and also the mechanism of private criminal prosecutions. Stephen Harvey QC has very kindly agreed to speak and other speakers will be confirmed later this week. We will also be covering alternative funding for SMEs and updating on the fund we are about to launch. Several of our advisers will be there to answer members questions at a Q&A session and we will be updating on the
situation with the FCA, the ICO and other news. As always the meeting will be followed by a networking session at a local hostelry! https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/sme-alliance-meeting-tickets-21457192039 NB This invitation is currently for members only. |
